dammit, man

I repeatedly noted that we haven't turned any corners, we haven't seen any lights at the end of the tunnel. The champagne bottle has been pushed to the back of the refrigerator.

Mark - can you do this for 'The Principals' that currently headline at Huffpo? They all need to be seen as they really are. Thank you. Sweet dreams.

Brainwashed? Doll? Stepford General? Alien? Betrayer?

What was it he said? Did he intend to be obtuse? Was obfuscation the goal? We must stay because there is violence, the violence occurs because we are there. The argument that everything will fall apart assumes just leaving with no diplomatic effort with regional Arab leaders to assure a stable Iraq. Yes, it would probably be a bad idea for America to lay down its weapons and leave on the next plane out, but I sincerely doubt that is what any elected government official is saying. Another straw man argument is all the anti-leaving argument is about. As far as winning or losing is concerned there is no one who believes that if America chose to fight a merciless war against Iraq the nation would not be completely crushed. What would come after genocide no one knows. Leaving is a choice not an act of surrender as some frame it.
